Wink

I bent over in front of the tank once with only my underwear on, guess that could be considered a partial moon

I do know a guy who uses moonlight all night, he reasoning is so the fish can see in the dark.

moonlight all night for me.
fish from a shallow tropical reef will hardly never be subjected to total darkness and appreciate a nightlight,so all night makes sens to me .if i had a controller of course id prefer that but ..................$$$$$$$

good one Paul....

Actually There is a big white walkway light that sits about 25' away from my tank. This things about about the size of 1.5 basketballs. It doesn't really light up the tank but it does kinda look like a full moon. Not the same full moon Paul is talking about

Hoping if I do this enough I can make some of the fish want to mate.

Paul I think this is the source to your nitrate problems!

Havent done a moonlight yet but I think I will be putting 2 - 25 incadescent blue bulbs in the hood (220g) some time soon.

Hi Paul!

Yeah, life got real hectic for a while. New house, new job, never enough time. Things have settled now and I'm back in the groove. I've been working on the site and getting ready for some updates.

See ya around,
Scott Z.
