Aluminum will work...however a new approach I have found looks surely worth looking into. It utilized cheap aluminum flashing, and attaching mylar to the aluminum you found youself. A friend told me he saw it done on a hydroponics site, and after much searching I came across a detailed outline. Granted its on a cannabis related site.....but this looks like it would be a great reflector for a great price! Reflective mylar is 99% reflective. Beat that!
I plan on lining the entire inside of my next canopy with mylar. For those wondering if it will melt....the fact that its so reflective causes it to reflect infrared (heat) as well. Anyway, I have a link that shows step by step to building a reflector similar to the spiderlight fo $15, but do to its questionable domain (cannabis related), I don't want to put it here in the open forum. If interested, PM me and I will give it to those interested.
Regards,
Perry
