No 250's yet but they do make em from what I have read. Their just not avalible here in the USA.........I'm goin gto trry the AB bulbs next. I hear there a little more on the white\blue side.
I know these only seem available in 150w. Has anyone tried them?
Also is there any test data available for 150w 20k DE's. Are 250w 20k DE bulbs available anywhere in the U.S.?

Mark, I am copycatting off of you with the AB 250...I should get it in the next day or two. I bought it for $79 at Custom Aquatic. I have a brand new 10K Ushio on the left side and will have the AB on the right. I will have two hours each day to compare them when the 400w is off.

If you ask PerryinCA, he can tell you how they look. He ran both AB and Ushio/BLV 10,000K HQI DE lamps in both the 150w and 250w sizes at Aquarium Concepts when he was working there part-time. He also ran the 250w size at home. Perry says that both brands produce a brilliant crisp white light but that the AB lamps are just slightly more bluish-white than the Ushio/BLV. I believe he even posted some pics of his 90-gal tank at home with 250w 6500K Iwasaki on one side and 250w 10,000K Ushio/BLV HQI DE on the other side. That was a very noticeable difference. The difference between the Ushio/BLV and the AB HQI DE lamps is barely noticeable.

Thanks Ninong...just figured it doesn't hurt to try the different bulb, it may be more pleasing to the corals and/or eye. This way I can do my own personal, side by side comparison test and let you guys know. I should have the bulb today, tomorrow or Monday at the latest.
