Cheap electronic pc/vho ballast

Hey guys finally search through the newsgroup and called the company and might have found an electronic ballast that can run both PC,T12, VHO's. Supposedly this is the same ballast that CSL uses. It can run 2x96WPC, 2x55PC, T12, VHOs for a total of 220W. It's essentially half an icecap.

http://www.fulham.com/wh7.html

Hey if anybody is interested, the Workhorse 7 costs $33 and is very light (18 oz) and probably cheap to ship too. These ballasts from the fulham site runs 2x96W PC, 2x55W, VHO. A lot of combination for up to 220W. It's pretty much half an icecap for the fraction of the price. I just ordered 2 today.
He also can get the workhorse 5 for $21. This runs 1x96W PC, 2x32W pc etc.

You can contact Todd at

CA ELECTRIC SUPPLY (LONG BEACH)
562-426-3311
LONG BEACH, CA

He will get these for you if you need.

Thats a great find! I will bookmark that one for sure. Please let me know how well it powers the bulbs you will be using.

Cost nothing to ship. I live 20 minutes away from them. I am sure there are electrical lights distributor in your area that can call fulham to get them.

I put up that number because fulham told me they definitely have in stock there. About 5 different lighting distributors around my area have never heard of them. Fulham told me they were trying to convert the masses around there for now.

THe guy at the company I got the ballast from told me he already sent out a few to some reefers in the past who wanted to run 2x96 WPC and a few for VHO's. The ballast looks like a long ruler and is very light.

Did you ever find anything out about te Halide ballasts? I thought I read where they would power HQI's, but was that definate?

For the cost of those compared to IC or even the Lampsnow you can buy spares and come out better,

They say the product is in the test phase. They have samples out there to test. Right now the 150 W MH Electronic ballast will be available in a couple of months. The person I spoke too said it will definitely be way much cheaper than what's on the market right now. After the 150 W MH are on the market, they will proceed to place the 250 W MH.

I will give them a call sometimes and see if it will work with doubled ended HQI.

Tell then I will gladly test for them. I have both the 150w and the 250w HQI's.
