Just my 2 cents, but I'd go with both PC being atinic. Also would put the PC's on a timer so that they turn on 1hr before the MH's and turn off 1hr after the MH's turn off;)
I am setting up my lights in my new tank. Its a 55 tall with two 10000k 175W Ushio MH. I also have a 2x96W PC set that I plan to use for actinic's. The PC's came with one 7100K actinic and a 10000K daylight. Should I replace the 10000K daylight PC with a second 7100K actinic, or should I just stick with what the set came with?
Thanks,
Marco![]()

there is a true 03 atenic in the PC's now. the 7100k ( wich we are currently running) has the tube painted for the blue color. In the next couple of weeks we are planning to upgrade to the true atenic.
How old is your 10k. want to sell it?
The 10000k has never been used. Its a german pin configuration .... 4 inline. If your interested let me know. Where and when can I find this true atinic bulb?
Thanks for the info..............;)
well I would say find a true 03 atinic and run ones of those with the 10k at first/ Maybe ypu'll like the look.
sounds like a good experiment, Wastedincome420, do you have any info on the 03 atinic?
Thanks
Well I have 03 VHO atinics on a IceCap 660 but the tank isnt set up and running yet.
Let us know what you think once you get it going,
Good luck![]()
I have ran the true actinic pc's and liked them. Mine were the ones from lampsnow, which are the other pin configuration ::
I would atleast get 1 true actinic to run with the 7100k. IMO.

Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
Thanks Paul for the info. do you know if the true atinics are available in the inline pin configuration?
