where to mount VHO's w/HQI's

OK I've been doing some thinking about the lighting settup for my new 105g.

I plan to use a Aqualine Lite fixture hanging over my hood, along with VHO atinics (and maybe 1or2 daylite too).
Now the HQI fixture should be about 12" above the water right?
How bout the VHO's?? How high should I mount them?? I dont want the VHO's blocking too much of the HQI's lite??
Any idea's

I keep mine @2'' above the tank. IMo any higher then why have them. They lose alot of intensity the higher you have them. I keep them away or on the edge of my tank= they don't block the halides

So I'll Plan on having the VHO's bout 2-3" above the water and close to the edges
