new lighting order!

I made a order fom marine depot yesterday for lighting for my new 125 gal oceanic. Just wanted
some feed back on what everyone thinks. Hopefully
everyone agrees with what I decided with. I could
have debated forever with my self what to get, finally had to make a decision. Anyways I bought
1 dual 250w pfo ballast,1 single 250w pfo ballast,
3 iwasaki 6500k 250w bulbs,3 spiderlight reflectors with quick disconnects, I am going to
supplement these with 2 72" 165w vho actinic or
50/50 whatever looks best or combination. I also
threw a couple of 3/4" sea swirls in I had
a custom canopy made, it is 12" tall.
Appreciate any comments,Hopefully good ones
Thanks
Ryan

Oh ya i just noticed that you have a Oceanic tank too(I'm setting up a 105g Oceanic). I would love to see how your hood is settup. As I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do mine(the stock oceanic hood just wont cut it with MH

My wife thinks 250.00 for aquarium lights is
a little excessive! If she only knew
I can try and post some pics of my canopy tomorrow or e-mail them to you. I am at work right now.

Great setup.

Does your oceanic have a 100% glass center brace or glass with a strip of plastic? Keep an eye on the plastic.

Use the Actinics bulbs, the 50/50 will not be enough blue.

Ridetheducati,
Thanks! It is 100% glass. No plastic strip
Seems like my setup will be very similar to yours.
I will have a 50 gal sump and a 40 gal refugium.
I will be using 5-6"dsb Curious as to what you are using for your refugium lighting and what type of lighting schedule? I am planning on using a 175w mh over my refugium and seeing how that works.

Currently, I am using two 40 watt bulbs (24/7). I think the 175w will work nicely.

I am thinking about the same.
