Question moon light

I want to put in a moon light, I have read sever threads on this topic on reefland and other boards. It seems there is no set way on what to use. This being said I have an idea of what I want to do, though I would like to see what you guys think??? I traded for a LUNAR 500 MOON SIMULATOR. I can plug in any kind of light into it. I have a 55gal tall tank, 36 inches wide. I have an extra 13watt jalli pc light that I can use with an med blue actinic. I want to place it centered on the back of the tank. What do you think???

I think it sounds like a great plan. Like you have read, many different people use many different applications for moon light, and yours will work just as well.

Good luck,
Scott Z.

The LUNAR thing sound pretty kool. Do you have any pics or info on the unit??

Supposivly is stimulates the fish and corals to "breed".

Anthony Calfo's book talks about a easy and inexpensive way to simulate the lunar cycle with a blue bulb.

I plan on doing this one day.

Well after doing more research I just found out that the lunar 500 only works with incandesants (sp?) or icecap ballasts for proper dimming. So I guess I am going to have to look at something else...
