96watt PC Over 10gal Tank

Hi, was wondering if anybody had expericence with a PowerQuad bulb over a 10gal tank. This is a 96watt bulb, half 10k and half blue that's 18" long. My question is, i keep my house at around 74 degrees with central a/c. Given proper ventilation with a fan in the canopy, would this set up generate too much heat for this size tank? This set up would go perfect in this nano i'm planning if it could only handle the heat, don't you think? Thank you so much for your time, JOHNNY

I think it would be great for a nano but isn't 18 inches too long for a 10 gallon? If it isn't then you should leave some space between the canopy and the tank in order for cooling.
I would like to see your results. I have seen people using it on a 20 G, but not a 10 G. However, I have seen complaints that those bulbs are pretty easy to break also.

I had a 10 gallon long for close to a year. It was 9 inches high, 24 long. Anyway, inside I had a BTA, Maroon clown, Green Spotted Puffer, and Roale Gramma. A huge Hawaiian Feather duster, and crabs/snails. The lighting was a 36watt PC and a 18W 50/50 flourescent. Everything flourished fine, I just upgraded to a 15 gallon last night
