irs upgrade

given my recent luck with the IRS im ready to upgrade my lighting. I have a 20g hex with a 175w pendent with a 10k blueline MH bulb.

I was thinking about 400w pendent or a hood made for a 20 AGA hex tank with a 400w and some actinics PC

where could I get a good hood made for my tank and how much would it cost for the hood and lighting?

my tank is all sps--i want more color

Well, your best bet would be to go for the 400w in 10k + some actinic supplements. People seem overall to be the happiest with this setup, and its a good blend of growth, color, and appearance. As to how you mount it, that is totally up to you. I think that a good pendent loks pretty slick, and will help alot in keeping temps at a reliable level. But, hoods are easier to setup floureschents in.

Some good places to look would be www.premiumaquatics.com , www.marinedepot.com , www.exoticfish.com , among many others. Those just happen to be my favorite. Look around and decide which is best for your application. In 400w, you best bet would be a magnetic ballast like a PFO.
