Smart Lite Brand???
Im looking at getting 72Watts of light for my 15 gallon tank. I noticed that the SmartLite PCs are much cheaper than the rest in price. Are they cheap in performance as well?

I believe that they are made by phillips, but don't quote me on that. Eiitehr way, I wwhave worked with them before, and they seemed like decent compacts, I don't think you'd have any problem with them.

I have had mine since last June. The only thing I don't like about them is the actinic portion is "7100 K" - doesn't do much for corals (flourense). Otherwise no probs with the ballast and the wiring is easy enough, although the new retro-kits come pre-wired. HTH...

Ive only got a BTA in there and some mushrooms. I'll get the 60Watt next week.
