is this enuff lighting?

i just recently purchased a fifty gallon setup and am hoping to
start a reef. its an a acrylic w, a builtin bio ball filter on the back.
anyways it came w two 24 inch jbj 55w lights, that is two seperate
hoods and lights . it seems as if just one running gets pretty hot.
im wondering if the extra light was thrown in by accident or that
is the reccomended lighting?

You could keep some mushrooms and maybe some leathers with 2.2 watts per gallon. I would sugest that you add at least a 175 watt mh and change the two 55 watts to actinics if not already. I would recommend at least 4watts per gallon.
