I was told by a rep from EYE lighting (Iwasaki) that there is another bulb besides the new 150W Aqua with a high kelvin rating. Please tell me what does this mean. In terms on most numbers....it is another medium base MH bulb. Model number is M150P36S-B Mediterranean Blue. ANSI code is M102. Initial lumens: 9,500. Peak Intensity (cd): 7,000. Color temp (k): 21,000. CRI: 85. It is a metal halide lamp, but........it is Dichroic Reflector Type PAR 36. Does this mean the bubl actually looks like a "flood lamp" or "spot light"? In terms of mounting, the open end of the socket will perpendicular to the lamp rather than the usual horizontal/ parallel? I don't know if the trouble in its different mounting position worth the trouble of the bulb. But, it does give another option to bulb choices if it is of any worth.
