20K bulbs on magnetic ballasts
Has any one ever run 20K bulbs (Radium) on a magnetic ballast?

Trapper, I have been trying to find that out for ages. Many have & they say its not as good as on HQI or electronic.
But I would like to know, when run on a normal ballast, what it compares with. Is it brighter than my 400 watt 12K, or does the normal ballast make it similar in appearance to the 12K?

 i have a 20k-10k-20k setup. the outside radiums are running offa regular ballast, the middle is a ab on a pfo hqi (which i think is a little weak). my new hqi ballst has not been delivered yet and i wanted to play with my new radiums, so these are 1 hr. old. the ab is 2 months old and by the way are brighter on the reqular ballast than the hqi.http://photos.yahoo.com/mosey_55 Last edited by ljj; 04-09-2002 at 01:10 PM. |
