Marine-glo bulbs
Does anyone use these for their actinics. I am thinking of using these to supliment my 10k pc's. The LFS has the 36" ones for $9. Are they a true dark blue colored actinic?
thanks, |

Not too sure. I remember using 18" coralife lamps over my first "reef tank" in a 20 gallon eclipse system with nothing but a firefish, yellow tang, and mandarin.... that was over 6 years ago, and about the only thing that lived was the mushrooms. I thought that cyano was a good thing "ooh soft coraline". Hehe.
Since then I have had no experience with it. However, I would have the LFS order some NO URI lamps if thats what your looking for. They are time tested, and are without a doubt a true actinic lamp. I think the extra 15-25 bucks is more than worth it. -Perry |
