Lightning Problem

I am really confused Guys. A few months ago I bought 2 Metal halides and 4 Tubes. They were on a Marine tank set up. The pet store told me that the lightning of the halides is similar to the light of the sun.

So I was wondering if I can use them now on a freshwater tank ?
Is there any problem ?

Thanks alot

Fisherman, I don't see why not. however, many of the marine tanks will have lighting that is more of a cool color than what is typically used in freshwater. When replacing the lamps, most freshwater guys use 5500k, or 6500k lamps.
