Question Hqi Bulb Question

I have a 150 gallon reef tank with 4 150 watt hqi 10,000k bulbs on it and 2 140 watt actinics.
How often are the 150 watt hqi changed. They average 10 hrs a day.
I have them 13 inches off the water. Due to their power, shhould they be higher?
Thanks,
Vic

I would recommend moving them lower if possible (I would recommend 7-10" depending on fixture).

The lamps should be changed around once every 12-14 months if on a standard magnetic ballast, and will probably be OK for up to 18 months on a icecap.

Hope this helps some,

Perry
