Icecap 660 static
My pair of Icecap 660,s add lots of static on the radio,s. I figured only the metal halide ballasts did this.
Cant turn the lights on until the mornings radio listening is finished,{so my wife says}. Any solutions to this problem?

From IceCap:
If you have a reflector, run a wire to ground or a non-painted surface on our ballast which should be connected to an active ground where you get you AC (3 prong plug). If there's no reflector, use any metal flashing as most of the 'noise' comes from the lamps. If this has failed or is not doable, e-mail Chris at chris@icecapinc.com for our noise reducing suggestions. Usually it's only AM that's placed within close range of the tank. Cable connected radio or TV shouldn't be bothered if properly hooked up. Or, call 800-742-3227 ext 15 or 25 and speak with Chris or Dave. Andy |
