PFO Lighting
Okay I'm finally going to Halide from Power Compact, I'm bidding on E-bay for a Dual 250 watt system with 48" reflector no bulbs for 200.00 bucks. Sounds like a good deal to me, what I need to know is what bulbs should I go with 10000K or 12000K (I like the Bluish hue)? And has anyone had experience with PFO good or bad....
Thanks for the input, Mike |

Is this new or used? You could get a brand new PFO dual 250w ballast from Marine Depot or Premium Aquatics for $157.95. And Hello Lights sells a 48" reflector for $39.50.
I've used 65K Iwasaki bulbs and 10K Ushio bulbs. I like them both and prefer the 10K. Never tried 12K bulbs before. I liked my PFO ballast too, but I have switched it out for electronic ballasts and I like them much better because they don't get so hot.

Wow 154.95 ??? The one on E-bay is new with a 2 year warranty, and comes with sockets and cords, I'll definately check out the sites you listed though.
Anyone else have ideas on bulb temps? Mike |
