i sent this to you ~3 weeks ago and never got a reply:

perry hi -

my plan is to use product #10725 superspectrum double bulb hoods from the horticultural side of your company to house 250w iwasakis w/ 400w radiums on my reef tank. what are your thoughts regarding feasibility and reflector efficiency? also, if i get the glass and blower options to cool the hood, would this probably protect my 3/4" thick x 18" wide acrylic centerbrace? how high would i need to elevate the bottom of the #10725 hood off the acrylic centerbrace? (i might use 400w radiums x2 instead of a 250w + 400w in this portin of the tank due to all the glass/acrylic between the lamps and the water)

is the correct ballast for 400w radium #AL00840? do i need to specify the pulse start option? also, what can i expect in the way of power consumption for your pulse start ballasts (for the 400w radiums) compared to those electonic ballasts by blueline? (please give me as much detail as you can).

finally, any word yet on the 1000w radiums becoming available, and does your 1000w ballast #AL00885 fire it according to specs?

valid,

I could have swore I replied to this as I remember reading it.

Anyway, to protect the non-commercial end of the board, I am going to close this thread, and will PM you the information.

Regards,

Perry
