Or you could use two 36" pfo parallel reflectors. I think they could accomidate 3-4 bulbs. It would be easier to get the endcaps for the VHOs in the right spot. I have the 24" pfo parallel reflectors and like them, and also the IceCap 250 watt HQI and 660 VHO ballasts.

From experience, if you're going to DIY, anything that is made to be just about fool-proof is a definite plus (parallel reflector length equal to VHO tube length), as it was definitely more work to get the 24" reflectors to be a total length of 46.5"...
