lighting opinions
I am setting up a tank with mostly SPS. What lighting would you choose (400 Watt)? The PFO HQI Ballast with the 20K Radium Bulbs (no actinic), Ice Cap ballast with 20K Radium (no actinic) or some setup with 10K Bulbs plus actinic (either FL or PC).

The tank is approx. 120"x30"x36". I was planning on 4x400W MH, either 20K (no actinic) or 10K plus actinic.

I would go with 5 - 400W Ushio 10,000K's mounted in 24" PFO reflectors driven by PFO HQI ballast with 75W actinic VHO bulbs mounted on each side of the halides. You can then use the VHO's as dawn/dusk effect. I would mount the reflectors perpendicular to the front of the tank.
