lookin' for ideas
i will be using magnetic ballasts for lighting. i've ordered them w/ intermatic timers built into the ballast housings to provide the routine lighting schedule. these ballasts will be placed in a relatively inaccessible place. from time to time i will want to turn the lights off/on for short periods, independantly of the regular schedule. i will want to do this without altering the time on the intermatic timers - i think these timers work by using a 24 hour dial that must be on continually - if i simply turn off the power to the outlet, then the timers won't know what time of day it really is, and the day/night cycle will be off.
so what's the best way to rig this up? |

the best way i can think of is if there are toglle typ switches on the ballast then wire the toggle swith to place that is easyly acesable.

Valid, if requested, the system can be built with two switches and timers. I replied at your other post too.
