Reef Optix III
Ninong, if you'll bear with me a bit longer.
I'm not sure why I was fixed on the retrofit. Is there any reason not to use a pendent? I was thinking about the Reef Optix III. Is that a good choice? |

I don't really know much about that unit but I have read good comments about it from others. You could shoot an email or a PM to PerryinCA, the moderator of this forum, as he works for them.

Hey dag!
Yup, this is the pendent to use. I have one now and one that is supposed to be in tomorrow. I am very pleased with the look of the pendent and the performance of the reflector inside. The pendent is well vented along the top to keep heat down as well. The only downfall is the pendent itself does get hot to the touch but I am sure they all do.
