Wiring SLS and IC Package

Hi All!

I am in need of a little help. I recieved our IC/SLS 250w setup today and it has to be wired up. The ballast has 5 wires, white, black, green, blue and yellow. The black, white and green are for the power supply, no problem; the blue and yellow go to the bulb, no problem.

The pendent (or female adaptor rather) has three wires, black, white and green. The green is the ground, no problem. Which wires do the black and white go to on the ballast? Two possible configs:

Black - Blue
White - Yellow

OR

Black - Yellow
White - Blue

Does it make a difference?

Thanks,

Are you using the IceCap 250 HQI? If so, the blue and yellow wires on the ballasts run to the leads going to the actual bulb (which is which does not matter) and the green, white, and black wires go to a 2-pronged plug (not included with the ballasts)

I hope this helps- I'm only familiar with the ballasts, not your pendants...

From IceCap:
http://www.icecapinc.com/specsheet250&400MH.pdf has a wire diagram at the bottom of the page. The ground wire from the fixture can be attached to the ballast's clip for it, on its cover. The green wire from the ballast goes to ground.

Thanks guys!

I also sent an e-mail to Perry and he stated the following:

Quote:
Hook the yellow to the white, and the black to the blue.
Regards,
