T4 lightinh, anything good about them?
SInce the new T5 lighting has hit the us it has created some new hopes and speculations. I rencently came back froma wholesaler and saw some T4 lighting. Very cheap aslo. I cant seem to find any info on them on the boards, does anyone have any links or thoughts on these bulbs. They are really tiney which i really like about them and do put out some decnet lighitng. I was thinking to add them to some 10k for an atinic look but dont have any Tech data on them or spectrum details. The box had no manufacture so i suspect china or tiawan made. Perry if you read this is it possible for me to send you a one and maybe you can give us a report? It would be nice since im intrested in using either a Reef Opix111 or a diamond reflector and they both have no room for VHo or t5 as a supplement but the t4 will fit amazingly well aling the trim of the pendent. Please let me know what you think.

I saw these at a LFS too. It's tiny.
But the fixture came from Germany or something. Anyhow I think the 4 foot T4 is only 36 watts however. I wasn't really impressed with the brightness though. Maybe if you have 3 or 4 then it could get really bright. |

I saw them at Victor's place (reefcollection) in Huntington Beach. They sell them with full hoods 2x36 but not sure if they can get retrofits.
I think it cost much, much less than PCs. You can get a 24" 2x20 watts for around $25-$30 I think. |
