best 10k 250wt bulb

Its time for new bulbs. What is the best/most reliale 10k bulb. I know that AB has had problems in the last year., have they fixed them? Who is running what and who like what and why. I don't make enough money to buy new bulbs but once a year. Thanks.

I can't speak for single ended bulbs, but I can tell you I like the AB doulble-ended bulbs much more than the USHIO double-ended bulbs. The color isn't as yellow and corals on some of the corals has shifted to somewhat brownish...

I do use IceCap 250 watt HQI ballasts...

I will put in my vote for Ushio 10k also. I will be using 3 250watt 10k Ushio's powered by Blueline electronic ballasts and 4 VHO actinics on 2 Icecap 430's to run my 125gal.

that will be a sweet looking tank. good choice on lights.
