It would only be 10 units if everybody ordered System 260 Moonlight fixtures. If I didn't already have my lighting setup, I would go for one of those.

Giesemann can build them into the Eco's in Germany or you can buy those spare parts from the importer. I've already contacted the importer and he said that it's really not expensive at all. I'm going to ask him to just throw them in if we're spending that much money with them.
Only 10 Moon 260 that is alot of $1500 light units to get people to buy.
I would love one but just can't justifiy spending that kind of money for it when you can get almost the same thing just no computer for the extra cycles and phases for double the money and they are not even electronic ballasts. Just seems a little to extravigant considering the other things you could spend the money on to get that would improve the over quality of life in the tank.
Oh hey Mike did they get you a price on the eco 230 with 2x150's?

At the price that he gave us, it's almost a 2 for 1 special compared to the LFS. Heck, I might pitch in to get a pair to help push the order to completion if need be.Originally posted by Ninong

I only got the market MSRP price. I'll get our price from the vendor, hopefully, by tomorrow.Originally posted by tendar

Gregg, I agree about the electronic vs magnetic, but you have to figure that computer is worth about $500. Some people do have light fixtures and put them on Aquadyne/Neptune/Octopus controllers, which end up costing about that much on top of their lights.
Yes but the controlers do a lot more than just run lights.
But any ways just to much money for a poor bum with a 5th grade education.
Here's a picture of the continuous height adjustment:

And here are some random pictures of the System 260 Moonlight:

The System 260 Moonlight electronic ballast is scheduled to come out in July 2003. I don't have any of the details, but this is the message that I received from Phil at Xenia:
I have to say that the importer has been fantastic about answering any and all of my questions about this fixture. I'm sure that whatever features that they have underway must be nice to get a patent. I heard that the continuous height adjustment wasn't patented and AB used it from their supplier, so they're trying to avoid that from happening again, I suppose. The ETA on the new version of the 260Moonlight is shcedule for July 2003. Without disclosing all the new features it will carry i can say that the Moonlight will have Electronic Ballast and, if test are conclusive, a new technologie that will give the system something that no one in the world tought possible. We are in a patent process right now but when i got the OK from Germany i will be please to tell you about it.
Warranty is always one year for all our system on Parts and labors either Magnetic or electronic. But, the Electronic ballast have their own 2 years replacement warranty for all system equiped with that technologie.
