Is it ok to feed with fresh squid?
I bought a little piece of squid today from the Grocery store today.
Is it ok to cut maybe a 1/2" x 1/2" piece and put it in my tank to feed my 5 Nassarius snails? Those are the only carnivores in my tank at this point.

If you're talking about the squid flesh (which includes tentacles), then that is okay. For fishes you want to remove the beak, ink sac, and internal cartilage-like 'spine.'
Remove what isn't eaten in a few hours.
