Flame Angel

Yesterday, I got the Flame Angel (Med Size) from LFS and its not eating. I have offered Mysis shrimp but it only comes close and don't eat them.

What should I offer him/her, I put some Nori this afternoon as well. Currently, she is in barebottom tank. Please advise.

Sometimes it takes two or three days before a new fish will begin eating. My Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loriculus) ate just about anything. I liked the Ocean Nutrition product line and I kept both of their flake formulas as well as several of their frozen foods. They even have a frozen food package designed especially for pygmy angelfish. I also fed Cyclop-Eeze.

Chances are that your new Flame will start eating within two or three days. Just try a variety of foods designed for zooplanktivores.

I just couldn't see her starve and she was looking clean so, last night I put her in the DT. There was little attitude from Yellow/Blue Tangs but not too much. She started to pick things off the LR and I feed the tank with Mysis, she didn't come out and eat but she was picking things. Looking good...
