Re: white eye problem PLEASE HLEP!!

Generally, a fish can heal itself of this condition. The fact that it got this condition says there is something wrong or going wrong with your efforts. Usually this symptom is one of a bacterial infection which the fish can handle unless it is under stress.

The usual way the fish gets this condition is one or more of the following:
improper nutrition (wrong foods, not enough food, no vitamin and fat supplements, etc.) -- are you following these guidelines? Feeding Marine Fish and Fish Nutrition

bad water quality (not just ammonia, nitrite and nitrate but the other things mentioned in this post: What is Water Quality);

other stressors (tank mates, invert incompatibility, not enough space, etc.).

Fix the stress source(s) and the fish will correct itself. The first thing to do is make a large (60%+) water change as soon as you can. Repeat this water change every 48 hours for three times total. See: How to Make a Successful Water Change. This will address a water quality issue fairly well.

In the meantime, feed the fish some immune boosters. See this: Fish Immune Boosters

If both eyes show this condition, or the eye becomes Popeye, then the fish is loosing ground with the infection and a treatment with an antibiotic like Maracyn Two for Saltwater Fishes is needed. You should prepare a hospital tank and have it going and ready and obtain some of this antibiotic, in case the fish gets worse. Then move the fish to the hospital tank and treat it.
