Re: Removal of quickcure ?
Actually, I dont really care if the marine lifeforms die or not, not exactly the best way to put it, but there are only pods, bristle worms & some sponges on LR. But my only worry is the aftermath, if the LR can be used back in a reef tank, I am not sure if malachite green will slow leak out like how copper get suck into calcium based material.
My clownfish breeder buddy & I found that the only cure to that mysterious white film & fast breathing disease is quickcure (malachite green & formalin), it works somewhat, so I suspect it is more of an external parasite in nature. The closest aquaculture labs we found are half away across the country so any live specimen probably wont arrive alive.
The manufacturer AP did put a warning of not use in a reef tank or display tank, in my situation it is more of a clownfish growout/holding tank with sponge filter & LR (for seeding biological filtration purposes). So I do not believe it is made as a reef-safe medication.
Thanks LEE
