Yet another Ich question... or 2
First question, does Lugol's or TMPCC dips on coral frags have any impact on the potential for ich to enter a tank? My guess is no, but I don't think my QT has sufficient light to keep some corals for 6 weeks or more.
Secondly, does freezing fresh fish/shellfish kill the ich parasite? If not, preperation of our custom made frozen foods would risk the introduction of ich into a DT we take extreme precautions to not infect. I'm probably being a little paranoid , but just a thought. Thanks

Not paranoid at all.
Lugol's will 'likely' (meaning I don't know for sure) kill the free swimming stage of Marine Ich. But what is most likely attached to the invertebrate are not the free swimmers, but the cyst. It may be less likely that the cyst is affected by a short dip, or less likely that every cyst will be killed. Some inverts, LR, and others that need light are a stretch to make the 6 week time slot. For the short time, I would provide better lighting. Buying only healthy, well acclimated specimens will be of top concern before they enter into the quarantine process. Freezing kills all off-fish stages of Marine Ich.

Re: Yet another Ich question... or 2
Thanks Lee, pretty much what I was thinking.
