I don't believe that any fish molt. Can you provide a pic?

Re: My dads tomato clown is molting?
WELCOME TO REEFLAND!
The condition you've described is one of the symptoms of a disease called: brooklynellosis. It is very common among Anemonefishes. The fish needs one of two treatments: Either a series of freshwater baths OR a series of Formalin baths. The fish will need to be removed from its display tank and put through the treatment using a hospital tank. The process may seem daunting for your father, who probably just wanted to keep an Anemonefish, but that is what it will take. For brooklynellosis information you may want to read: http://www.petsforum.com/personal/tr...oklynella.html For freshwater dipping you want to read: Freshwater Dip for Marine Fishes And finally, if you choose to go with the Formalin treatment, this is how it is done: Formaldehyde: Friend or Foe - Treating Saltwater Fish Diseases We are here to help, but without some experience and dedication to the marine fish keeping hobby, this may be something you find challenging. Good luck!
