I am interested in getting the Fremblii Butterfly (Chaetodon Fremblii). If anyone has experiance with them give me some pointers or your thoughts on them. Also if they are not for the home aquarium what other Butterflyfish is similar to it and around the same size (5")?
Also I currently have a BiColor Angel in my tank at the moment and I was contemplating on getting the Singapore Angel since I have read and also been told that they can be housed together. What are ya'lls thoughts on it? |

Re: Fish Information
That Butterflyfish, Chaetodon fremblii is best left to old aquariums with very stable (and excellent) water quality. After those needs are met, it is a relatively hardy, but shy fish. Mine always wouldn't display their full colors in captivity, taking on a 'scared' appearance most of the time.
The Bi-Color and Singapore should get along well. In fact, the Singapore can get along with almost all other angels. Quite often it is the 'other angel' that picks on it. In the case of the Bi-Color, most are mellow. One now and then may be outside of the norm. I wouldn't give any other suggestions for fish, since their choice is very personal.

Re: Fish Information
Thank you for the information. It has helped alot. The only other question I have in regards to fish is would a Dogface Puffer be to aggressive for my aquarium?

Re: Fish Information
The Dogface Puffer Arothron nigropunctatus is usually very mellow. However, it does need and should be kept in a large aquarium. If you want to keep it with other fish, then you want an aquarium of no less than 125 gallons.
