Quarantine Tank with UV plumbed to main tank

Has anyone ever thought of having a quarantine tank housed in line with their sump/main tank where it only receives flow directly from an in -line UV sterilizer? If it is appropriately sized and your QT starts out clean, wont this kill any ICH/velvet coming into the the QT while still allowing access to the dilution/filtration from your main tank? Any thoughts?

WELCOME TO REEFLAND!

The concept that a UV water treatment performs total sterilization is erroneous. That is why your proposal has not been adopted. The common belief that UV solves disease and parasite problems is more of wish than a reality.
