Fish heal remarkably well, considering they are captive and what we put them through.
I don't know just how bad is the fin condition. But speaking in generalities: If the fish is getting proper nutrition, fat and vitamin supplements, in high quality water with few or very low stresses, the fins should look as good as new within a couple of weeks. Very small or subtle fin problems can disappear in a couple of days.

) He was in great shape, ate well in the QT, didn't show any signs of sickness bla bla bla and she said he was bought before he made it into the LFS tanks.
So a few days ago I went down to feed them and decided he had enough (fins all frays, no tail fins almost down to the meat) I pulled out the poor little guy and put him back in the QT. He's looking much more calm and swimming around freely
