Please comment on the following:
1) bath duration of 45 minutes - is a 30 minute bath ok?
2) what are your thoughts on treating qt directly (smaller dose/longer period)? if this is ok, would 1 ml/20 gallons per 24 hour period be ok?
3) you indicated, "However, the QT can be copper medicated with Cupramine and the fish still given Formaldehyde baths. Also, the QT can be administered antibiotics of certain types (Maracyn, Neomycin, Nitrofurazone, etc.) while the fish goes through this series of treatments. "
This is a very interesting statement - I always thought you dont want to combine cupramine with formaldehyde because i thought the cupramine will become toxic? if this is in fact ok, that's terrific because i think one can then medicate the qt that has cupramine with formalin
4) even if you add the fish back to the qt, the fish might get reinfected with the parasite; that's why i would prefer to be able to medicate slower dosage of formalin to qt and then repeat after 24 hours
