Compatibility: butterly and file, grouper and lion

I will need some fish for aiptasia control, preferably of the small size )tank is 125g long, with fish, that will grow: 2 tassle filefish and antennata lionfish.

From what I gathered from the Web, aiptasia eating fish will be either butterly (copperband, racoon, Kleine) or grouper (marine betta, or comet).

I have doubths about compatibility of the flat and deep-shaped, picking in the rocks fish (butterfly and file) and groper with lionfish (marine betta and lionfish).

    What do you think?
    Thanks.

I don't use fish or recommend that fish be acquired to handle a problem in the tank. Fish should be acquired that are wanted, trained to eat prepared foods (not the problem), and kept for a long time.

I can't provide any advice outside of the above.

I share your feeling as well, and didn't do that. Especially, if I don't like particularly either of these fishes
But I wasn't able to control aiptasia by injections under and behind the rock, inside deep caves, and eventually had to disassemble tank for a cleaning, including killing LR together with aiptasia.

Thanks and sorry, may be somebody passing by can tell the other way to solve this aiptasia problem.

What I suggest is that you post in the Reef Forum a post titled something like "Help me Control Aiptasia."

Explain what you've tried and what you've done and ask others for the ways they controlled it, without bringing in fish. I think you'll find there may be other suggestions.

You won't likely find that this thread will attract that same attention. Good luck!
