Sorry for your loss. It's not possible to explain the death of a single fish without a lot more information, video or not. However, getting a look at the aquarium is useful.
Even if you answer all the questions thoroughly and accurately there is no guarantee we can give you a definitive answer. But if you do decide you want to answer all these questions, I for one will give it a try.
Remember, answer honestly AND accurately. Also, leave no question go unanswered or addressed, okay? If you don't know what the chemical measurement is, then take it now and report it. Saying you don't test for it, or you don't know it, is like not answering the question, and that means I won't reply. Here they are:
How old is your tank? When did it originally cycle?
What is the size (dimensions and gallonage) of your aquarium? Does the gallonage include the volume from the sump and any refugium?
Do you use carbon, skimmer, mechanical or other chemical filtration? List all you filtration equipment along with their maintenance.
Do you have live rock in the system? How many pounds or amount and where is it put?
Other than live rock hitchhikers, list all marine life & sizes in the tank (fish, inverts, corals, clams, snails, crabs, shrimp, etc.).
Do you use a quarantine tank and procedure?
Foods you use and feeding schedules (how often do you feed)
How long have you had this fish? How many weeks, exactly. How did you acclimate the fish – what procedure did you use and tell me the procedure in detail?
Do you use any vitamins? Fat additives? Any elemental or other additives? Please list all.
Tell us the kind of lighting you have and the lighting schedule.
Chemistries – I want the following test results: Phosphate, alkalinity, calcium and magnesium. Please give actual current numbers for everything. I would like test kit test results, not dip stick results and actual numbers even if you think all is fine/okay. Have these numbers been changing lately? Do you normally make these tests? How often?
Water parameters – please give actual numbers (pH and your pH range, salinity or sp. gr. & range, temperature range)
Water changes (how much and how often).
What is your source water? (Tap water, RO water, DI water, RO/DI, distilled, etc.)
List what you added or taken out of your aquarium system (living, decorations, and equipment) during the past 6 weeks.
Maintenance schedule (list cleaning, siphoning, equipment maintenance, bulb changes, etc. and how often you do these things). What have you done lately?

Thanks for helping. im only 13 and probably wont be able to anwser all your questions. please dont take me as an imature or stupid. i think for myself i know a lot about aquariums and my friends think so too.
Thanks, here are the anwsers to some of your questions. i will reply again with the others when my dad comes from work.
ok the tank has been cycling for 6 months. first we had just small fish in it, but then we got another tank and transfered them into there. i mixed the live rock and the filtration so the other tank can at least have more bacteria cycled. then we began putting seahorses in there and they croaked soon enough. so we got rid of them and transfered my now dead fish from our 100 gallon to our origional seahorse tank. i took most of the live rock out and only kept pecies i really liked. i would guess roughly 5 pounds but those peices should be completly cycled. ok then roughly 2 weeks later i added another frogfish. then the next week another. i have no clue what type they are accept the second one being a Warty Frogfish. the tank is a 14 gallon biocube with no sumps or protien skimmers. all i have are those 3 frogfish i used to have a hermit crab. i know they say that you have to clean and take care of smaller tanks and stuff, but my LFS said that it should be fine to do water changes monthly. i use freshwater feeders and the LFS suggested this since all those fish eat is guppies and they are not like flakes or brine shrimp which may go to the bottom and rot. i try to feed them every sunday if not the following day. i have had brock for at elast 4 months and my warty frogfish for about 4 weeks and my last one for a month. i dont think it was a disease but it is possible. i dont think the other frogfish did this because if they did i wouldnt of found a body. and also the night before i think i remember him being a little black but i might be wrong. tempature is normally 78-80 degrees. i do not quarintine my fish. normally for 30 minutes i float them. every minute or 2 i use a dropper and put some water in that bag. thanks thats pretty much all i can anwser. thanks so much for at least trying to help i hope you get me some anwsers so i can prevent this from ever happening again. and also i was thinking something that might of happened. what if with all those bugs and stomella snails from the live rock.. what if something else came out. something that can kill like a mantis shrimp or gorilla crab or something.. Thanks so much ill try to get the rest as soon as possible.
Still waiting for the additional information, especially the chemistries.
Those 'bugs' you see are not the culprits. They are harmless pods that live off of the detritus, bacteria, and other micro lifeforms.
In all the transfers, actions, additions, and changes, I don't see any reference to water testing. I hope you have those chemistries. ;)

no these arent pods trust me pods are A LOT smaller. and according to my LFS, the bugs probably came out when the hermit crab died becaues of the sudden nutrients available. we have no clue what the chemistry was. i checked ph yesterday and it was around 7.7 so we did about 60% water change and also used DI filter water.
i think im fine im sure it was just because of the ph or water quality. ive gotten over the fact that he died so i think im fine. nothing wrong seems to be going on and im keeping an eye on the tank. thanks for the help.
One last word here, Ailenpangwin. . .
It is very wrong not to perform regular tests on the water quality. One test and a water change doesn't make things right, nor does it make things so you can ignore them for another few weeks. These tests on pH, temperature, and specific gravity are done daily. Others are done weekly after the tank reaches stability and more frequently when new lifeforms are added.
Whoever is guiding you on ornamental marine husbandry should be replaced by someone who is really into the hobby and has nothing to sell. The alternative to this is that you will continue to harm marine life.
Good luck!

Ailen,
Ask your dad to order the book that I recommended in this post. I'm sure you will both like it very much.
P.S. -- No one thinks that you are immature or stupid and we already knew that you were only 13. You might want to ask your dad to read the advice you have been receiving on this board in case he has any questions.![]()
