Have you tried Formula 2 and/or bloodworms.
Do you have a lot of algae in your tank?
So I have this lawnmower blenny who won't eat anything but pellets, and even then he won't scavenge them off the sand, I have to put them into a little piece of cheese cloth and stick it into the rock and he picks them out. I've tried sheets of marine algae (both green and red) and he doesn't appear to show any interest in them. I've even tried affixing them over the top of the pellets, he doesn't touch it. I've gone days with only offering the marine algae and he still won't eat it. Any suggestions? Is there some other food I could try that would be easier to administer than having to do a little pellet package for him every day?

There is some algae, but I wouldn't say a lot. I thought they were more algae eaters than carnivorous? Also how would I attach bloodworms to the rock? The blenny won't go onto the sand at all.
Yes they are mostly herbivores but they will eat bloodworms. As for attatching the bloodworms I don't know yet. I'll try researching some stuff or maybe Ninong or someone will help you out there.

I tried putting the seaweed into the little pouch with a few pellets. It appears that he has picked at it but as far as the seaweed goes, I don't know if he's eaten any. There's a fair bit of algae on the back wall now so perhaps he is not really very hungry anyway. How do I know if he's too skinny? Are there any pics of a healthy blenny vs. a malnourished one?
Well, now that he has a little competition (or maybe a teacher), a clownfish, he decided it's time to start eating flake food and whatever else I throw in for the clownfish.![]()
