So Im kinda new to this hobby, but my dad has had a 55 gallon tank for a very long time with a lot of experience and he is helping me along the way. I've filtered my tank with damsels for about three weeks and no problems and the salinity is on point. So i thought it was about time to get some fish. Btw its a small tank, a 9 gallon by Oddessy tank. But i plan on getting a much bigger tank soon as I become more experienced with marine aquariums.
It comes with lights and a filter. I also have a heter,(sorry I dont know all the terminolgy yet).
I went to my LFS and picked up a small less than two inch Blue hippo tang along with a Dwarf Zebra lion fish who is very small and less than two inches. So total in the tank i have a cleaner shrimp, 1 damsel, 1 blue tang and a dwarf lion fish.
Everything seems to be doing well except for my Lion fish. I know its hard to switch them over to frozen bite size silversides and its been three unsuccessful days. I put the silversides on a tooth pick and wiggle it around but it fails to ammuse him. Im getting worried because he is not eating and he doesnt really swim. All he does it just sits on the live rock or heater and just sits. What am i doing wrong? please help.![]()
