    Emperor angel 911

Ok so my angel had what appeared to be ich. White spots or velvet moved him to 20g qt with regal tang.
Yesterday he wasn't eating well and had what appeared to be fin rot, but this morning the tang who betts along with him well seemed to be picking at him.
He now doesn't have much tail fin. And patches on his body are sores like bites. Took him out and put him in main to get away from tang or should I put the tang in the other 10g qt with the clowns and dottyback. Or take clowns and dottyback in with tang in the 20g. And put the angel in the 10g?

    Thanks
    Anthony

The Angel must be put into a separate quarantine tank and treated with Cupramine AND the antibiotic Maracyn Two for Saltwater fish. You'll need a SeaChem or Salifert Copper test kit to control the copper content. If you make up any other approach, alter the above, and choose not to do the above, I can't help you, and you don't have my agreement to do anything else. (Sorry. But I am tired of readers making up alternatives and then trying to negotiate my approval). :eek3:

    Re: Emperor angel 911

I am using copper safe in the QT tank. I also have Maracyn for salt, is there a big difference between the 2. Also do i wait till the 14 days with the copper and then use the antibiotics or at the same time?

I have a aquarium pharmaceuticals copper test kit is that OK?

    Re: Emperor angel 911

Angels are sensitive to copper treatments. Only use Cupramine.

Cupramine must be tested for by a test kit that gives proper results for copper concentration. The only two I am sure of to use for this is either the SeaChem or Salifert Copper test kit.

Maracyn One and Maracyn Two for saltwater fish are different drugs. Use Two.

In addition, using a medication together/at the same time with copper has to be a known compatible. Cupramine is compatible with Maracyn Two for saltwaer fish.

    As I wrote before:
