I'm surprised that Vita-Chem wouldn't contain it. Check it again.
Vitamins A and D are found in cod live oil.
Lee,
In reading your sticky on fish nutrition I noticed you emphasized the difficulty our fish have in obtaining vitamin D. Where can I find a vitamin additive that contains it. I can't find it listed on any vitamin additives at my LFS and it isn't listed on either the Vita-Chem or Selcon I use.
Thanks

I don't see vitamin d listed on Vita-Chem anywhere.
As far as vitamins go how much should I add of each Vita-Chem and Selcon to a homemade food mix? Let's say per 8-10oz of homemade frozen food. Is 1/2 tsp of each ok or should it be more or less? Should I also add a 1/2 teaspoon of cod liver oil for the vitamin d or would that be too much?
Also I couldn't find expiry dates on the Vita-Chem or Slecon. I keep them refrigerated. How long do they last?
For that batch of food, about 1/4 teaspoon would be right for the cod liver oil and vitamin.
Once the bottle is opened, I wouldn't use it after 3 months (assuming it is being kept refrigerated, like you are).
