blenny only eats algae?

i cant remember the name of my blennylong name that starts with a k and a great hair algae eater.my question is ......is it ok if thats all it eats?wont eat mysis or brine shrimpis it getting its nutrition?

Long story short, Yes. he is getting his nutrition. I Have had a Pleco algae eater for a long time now. eaten nothing but algae. Ideally. Keep an eye on his colors/test your water parameters to find out as to why he wont take to anything other then algae. Never seen a Blenny quite like yours.. Good luck.

looks like a Klauswits (sp) or also commonly called a Linear Blenny. They are great algae eaters, but normally will eat other foods when offered. As long as it has liverock to graze on, you should be fine. Fairly hardy specimen for any true reef tank. I keep them in a few tanks..they also lip the glass.
