found parasite or worm?

could not take picture,would not show up it was so small.i found it on the side of tank.was about an 1/8" or smaller and thin as paper but definatly wiggiling and stretching out.sucked it up in syringe to put on black plate. thats how i could see.what is it?is it badwish i had a micro scope

Your question about what it is is extremely hard to answer. We would at least need a photo.

However, I can with confidence say it isn't likely a fish parasite. They (that are worm-like) rarely leave the body of their host.
