sick Bellus Angel male - need help

This angel got sick about a week ago. small whitish patches appeared on his upper body above his eyes on both sides. He has not been eating and has been hiding under the rocks. he is really sick now and this is the first I have been able to get a picture of him. he is now in the corner of the tank. I am now able to get him into a QT tank. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

To my untrained eye, that looks like a case of fungus.

I believe this is what you want, especially since you have been able to put him in a QT.

The fish has a bacterial infection that has pretty much destroyed it mucous coating.

Waiting this long has now moved the infection from topical (external) to systemic (internal). At this stage the likelihood is that the fish will die. It is pretty much too late to help the fish. However, if you are determined to try and save the fish, then the QT water much be treated with two types of antibiotics. Ideally you would identify the bacteria at work here and target the bacteria with the antibiotic, but there is not time for this, even if you had the means to do this.

The antibiotics I would recommend at this point is:
NITROFURAZONE (Aquatronics’ Furacyn)
Nifurpirinol [a.k.a. Furanace]

Another choice would be the product Furan-2 which contains three drugs -- two of which are antibiotics.

Along with the above, the mucous coating of the fish must be restored. For that the fish needs treatment with one of the following: Pro Tech Coat Marine or StressGuard

Follow label and package insert directions for all treatments.

Encourage the fish to eat anything at this point. Keep trying, many times each day.

Such bacteria often get a foothold on marine fish that are in poor water quality. Time has to come to improve your water quality. Also, fish under nourished fall prey to this condition.
