    mimic tag very thin

My mimic tang is a juvenil fish. His colors are great, eyes are shiny but he eats bad and is very thin I almost can see through it! He spits most os the food out only eats some very small parts he choses. I am trying everything frozen brine shrimp with garlic, brine shrimp with omega3, mysis, brine shrimp with spirulina. he does not eat pellets or flake food tryed lots of them.
He is in a QT tank and water parameters are good.

Do you think de-worming the fish could be the key here? My problem is that he does not eat very much so its dificult to mix things in his food. He is a very picky eater!

He's an herbivore... make sure to buy frozen food for them.

Also make sure to supply sheets of seaweed, clipped to the tank side or to a rock with a rubber band.

Meaty stuff should be the minority of his diet.

You don't mention the size of this fish. When they are young they are omnivores. As they grow, they turn more and more towards a strict herbivore diet.

Brine shrimp and mysis are not very nutritious and should not be fed to them more than about 4 or 5 times out of every 21 feedings. You must offer enough of any food, when you feed. For other food choices, read through this post:
Feeding Marine Fish and Fish Nutrition

You will need to offer a lot of macro sea algae. Please read this on what to use and how to provide enough of it for consumption: How To Feed Macro Alage to Marine Fishes

Also, how you keep the fish has a contribution to how well they eat. If the fish is short on space, having issues with tank mates, in poor water quality, under other stressors, its eating can be 'off.' So check for all these, too.

    Good luck!
