nice to see another jersey reefer. welcome to Reefland!
first, how are you acclimating? seeing as how its been a few hours since your post, how are things now
We just bought a Kole tang from an LFS and when we started to acclimate it, it just lay on it's side. I know that Blue hippo tangs sometimes do this but I'm wondering if Kole tangs do that too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry it took so long to post back. I'm sorry to say that the tang is heavily infected with ich. As we don't have a QT tank we actually just bought a cleaner wrasse(they didn't have a neon goby or a cleaner shrimp) to hopefully resolve the problem. It really is the last chance. We can't medicate the tank again either.
If you have diagnosed the fish parasite as Marine Ich, the cleaner fish/shrimp is worthless. I suggest you read this: Curing Fish of Marine Ich
Being in this hobby makes having a quarantine tank and hospital tank a necessity to success. You might want to move in this direction: A Quarantine Process (step-by-step). If you don't have room or the resources for a QT, then you really don't have the room and/or resources to be in the hobby. Check it out.
