does white spot move around on fish

hi guys, i have a regal tang which i noticed that around 7 weeks ago has had small white spots on him which can only be seen when it goes dark and the tank lights are brighter, these spots seem to be in different position each day , he is feeding well and shows no signs of distress in any way , is this white spot or some sort of fish tick , i am treating the water with herbtanner and feeding with garlick which seems to be getting rid of them slowly,

Tangs often change hue and patterns when upset, scared, or at night when settling down to 'sleep.' So you don't want to mistake what you see with this normal behavior. If normal, they are not spots so much as splotches.
